Halloween šŸ‘»šŸŽƒ

Where to start with this one…

Everything you do is wrong, so you adapt make some changes to be told that this sucks and we should of just done the first thing… Or in our case go to America for this holiday – thanks YouTube FML.

For a month we have been getting daily countdowns from the Google Home Hub telling us how many days to Halloween our daughters favourite holiday. With the slow ramp up of hyper focus, YouTube showing more and more Halloween related videos we have had this holiday for a whole month. More than enough time to get it right? How so fucking wrong I was.

Working from home means one minute I am able to confidently say “yep we can do that in thirty min” to within a space of a minute later of saying that several emails and tickets come in that together take two hours… (The first screw of the stress level of hour daughter)

The second screw to destruction the local town put on a trick or treat trail with the local shops… The shops ran out of sweets about half way around…

Third screw, let’s eat out because we didn’t have dinner. Great now the food is taking to long and minds go through the nights events and focus on how bad everything is.

Fourth… In an effort to offer some satisfaction I offer to drive around the usually well decked out streets so we can see the Halloween decorations… Oh my god only two houses had decorations out. The screw gets tighter you can feel the tension, masking and stress starting to boil over.

Fifth and Sixth screw… All the sweets have gone from the pot we left out while we weren’t home “What if someone took them all in one go” and finally “What do you mean it’s to late now to go trick or treating!? This allowing was a complete and utter failure”

My mind is fried, so is my wife’s I can just tell. The littlest one has no idea what’s going on and our daughter is chandeliering. As much as I enjoy seasonal holidays I fucking hate the aftermath we seem to have to handle no matter what we do.

But we just dust ourselves off and start the mental preparation for Christmas šŸŽ„.
